La Ligne Verte du partage de Chypre

La ligne de partage de Chypre fait partie d'un type de démarcation qui par sa durée et sa nature se présente de plus en plus comme une frontière. Elle est le résultat de deux éléments: l'un local, liéà l'antagonisme des communautés grecque et turque de l'île, l'autre régional, héritage d'une géopolitique méditerranéenne. Pour les Chypriotes turcs, cette ligne est perçue comme une frontière internationale, pour la communauté grecque, elle représente une violation du droit. Pour les uns, elle est un pouvoir, pour les autres une perte de souveraineté, point de mire d'un État qui cherche à se construire dans une intégralité territoriale et des références identitaires antagonistes.
